CLOSET CLASSICS

Captain

Beyond

They did two albums that I know of..and this is one of them.  Mike Pinera helped produce them.  It's some interesting stuff with a few really Hot Tracks!

Released in 1972

Album:  Captain Beyond

featuring

"Raging River Of Fear"

Cactus

I came across this band long after they were gone, largely because Carmine Appice was the drummer.  Give this jammage a listen cause there's nothing quite like

Released in 1971

Album:  Restrictions

featuring

"Parchman Farm"

Shooting Star

This band was born and bread in Overland Park, Kansas (Kansas City) and cut two albums.. one in 79 and the other in 80.  Regional Rock with a "kansas" sound.  Dig It!

Released in 1979

Album:  Shooting Star

featuring

"Last Chance"

Point Blank

Okay.. I know its a cover song, and bear in mind this song features a two guitar attack...from a truly great album, enjoy this rendition by a group of old Southern Rockers!!

Released in 1980

Album:  The Hard Way

featuring

"Highway Star"

Montrose

A lot of folks don't realize that Sammy Hagar did two records with Guitarist Ronnie Montrose.  Though its not as solid as the first one, there are a few gems, such as "I Got The Fire"

Released in 1974

Album:  Paper Money

featuring

"I Got The Fire"

Morningstar

Man, I saw these guys about 1980 and they put on a great concert.  The album "Venus" came out in 1979 and feautured "Hard Bargain Driver", a mostly regional hit in the midwest I would imagine.

Released in 1979

Album:  Venus

featuring

"Hard Bargain Driver"
